I have also finally built up the Lee Cooper 653 road frame I bought.
The only thing from the original build is the frame, everything has been replaced.
Glad it fits me as I never rode it before I stripped it!

New Thomson Seatpost
Must be disappointing that it bent the first day

All the cool seatpost are bent

I dont know if you resolved this, but 11/8”=1.125 inches=2.8575 cm
Which is as close to 28.6 as you can get. Have you tried fitting the stem?

as close to 28.6 as you can get
But not that close to 26.8, which is his seat post size 🙂

Really nice!

Really good looking build!
I think it would benefit aesthetically from a silver seatpost though. -

So new wheels and new rotors. I wanted just the Reserve rims, but they are un available till November. Bought the wheelset, eventually I’ll lace in my CK rear and Son front. Also overhauled my fork for the first time.

Couldn’t figure out why my rear was making such an ungodly noise, installed my rotor ass-to-teakettle. Don’t work on your bikes at 3 am drinking Wray & Nephew...

Both good looking bikes.
Every Lee Cooper I've seen has been beautiful.

Had my first ride on my Mr Pink yesterday, it rides really nicely. Chain is too short by about 2 links though and I did a pretty shoddy job of taping the bars.

the frame pump above the top tube is the best use of an extended head tube I've seen.

Bought this alu Rossin on here and I want to make it a bit lairy looking. Going to try 65mm carbon in 12k twill like Cosmics, and gloss finish like the 90s. Nervous that there’s equal chance of them looking rad or hideous.

All the best bikes have to walk this fine line

Ha ha, I'm quite pleased with that! It was a bit awkward trying to fit a pump and a frame bag in the same space because of the size of the frame.

I really did that paint job.
Nice looking build

Hee
I remember SBIKE, but not that model. Not many around anymore, they were alloy frame and a lot of them broke, right? Anyway it looks amazing!
