Aye, thats been the way for about 20 plus years... I think it was the most violent street in Europe for a few years, but now, its just dead apart from the strip clubs, which are super low rent to have on the Main Street in a town, oh the shame...

I’m not surprised, last time (years ago) we crossed over Prince of Wales road on the way home my mate got knocked out for looking the wrong way

The comparison between what you can get for your money in London/East Anglia almost tempts me to move back... almost.
Still struggle to fathom how Prince of Wales road has become so down market so quickly (Norwich's old clubbing strip - it was never that nice, but it wasn't what it is now...)
