Hmm maybe it is. I guess unless it’s actually for the aero benefits then I’d rather have same depth front and rear.
I was planning on using surly ultra new hubs because there isn’t a huge choice of matching hubs that come in fixed 120mm rear and front disc (that don’t cost a million pounds) and AFAIK the lowest they come in is 32h. I want the wheels to be pretty solid as they’re going to be doing 120+ miles a week across London and not too concerned about weight because it’s fixed.
A weird hang-up that. Do you feel the same about different F/R spoke counts?
A 22m rim is probably ideal for a set of climbing or ‘mountain’ wheels or something ... otherwise you might as well drop the spoke count and use a deeper, stiffer rim.
