Some thought went into it :)
I think I saw you riding across Old street last week in some impressively flashy kit as well. I was a commutenger.

The spirit of 90's Cipo lives on (just lacking the mane)

I'm thinking of going 650b for monster cross.
This cassette

M8000 cassette instead for cheaper? You lose a tooth at the upper end though.
Why not G-ones? Amazing tyre. Performs well even if you over inflate or forget to deflate some. Whereas I've found WTB and Panaracer need very narrow window of pressure to perform their best.

You can't get G-Ones that have the same tread can you?
-
• #136
To what? The WTB's? Sorry, question has kinda flown past me.
All the G-ones have the same dotted pattern. -
• #137
Sorry - it was a woefully worded question!
I think the WTB Resolute has a tread pattern suitable for cross, whereas the G-One doesn't. I was asking if there was a G-One with another tread pattern that i wasn't aware of, but I think the answer is no.

No that's pretty much it.
You'd be surprised at what the G-one can do really. I mostly used mine off road and they'll surprise you. On road, the traction levels will actually floor you the tyre is that fast.
There's loads of people using them for the TCR this year. Not a particularly long lifespan though.Saying that however, I totally get your needs and would do the same. Look into the Gravel King SK too, Has a similar-ish tread pattern.

I will have a look - thanks

Oh yeah, stunning bike by the way. You do laps of Regents?
-
• #141
Only once on this - three or four months ago.

Had some nano tubeless fitted for cross. First cross race with discs and tubeless was infinitely better than my last with Cantis and clinchers. Unfortunately my fitness has gone in the opposite direction.

You weren't looking too slow at all! Sweet ride btw, love the frame. Are those the 650b wheels?
-
• #144
nice to briefly meet you, and amazing bike
-
• #145
Just the regular wheels - I think the banks create an optical illusion!
-
• #146
You too. Need to take a closer look at your Moots at the next race. Amazing bike.

Fresh from service at SBC and an Essex roll.

Back on the compasses. I love this bike on the road.

Current look. I never really appreciated the disc brakes until they stopped me going over the bonnet of a Range Rover Evoque today.
