Looking for pedal recommendations. I had a great shakedown ride of the new Tripster a few days ago, but the only thing that was an issue was clipping in with my Keo road pedals and cleats on some of the steep off road stuff. I no longer own any mtb shoes, only road 3 bolt, but could pick some up I guess.

For clipless, unless you've got really strong opinions on the matter it's hard to look beyond Shimano PD-M520.
I also like riding DMR V6 flats (the plastic version) for more rough-stuff rides/bivvies/hike-a-bike. -

SPD or flats are what I've been testing. If I wasn't midfoot I'd already be on SPDs.
I liked the flats for jumping off for gates and stuff but I don't like slipping feet off and being clipped in is great for dragging the pedal up to get going again. Flats also then has the issue of finding shoes that work well pedaling and dry quick and all that stuff.
With my low bike, flats also tend to catch ruts and stuff on those byways/bridleways so that was annoying too. SPDs etc are a smaller unit, less likely to snag on stuff.

The new Vitus bikes look great. Even this ~£500 road bike is impressive.

Definitely don’t want to go with flats. I’m thinking maybe trying Atac’s again, as I spent years on them when riding fixed. More £££ grrrrrrrr

I still have a collection of ATAC, SPD, SPD-SL and the fucking shoes still. The joys of going midfoot.

Toootal coincidence!

My friend (who works in with laying carbon fibre) got a carbon fork from Veloci saying it had a really shit finish.

The geometry is interesting but they are just sooo expensive and look a bit crude which is strange, usually the Syntace stuff is nicely finished.

This is exactly what ive been needing for my CDF. Those logic cranks are fire.
Though worried about chainline issues.
-
• #11894
You can solve the chainline problem with BB spindle length.
The Logic cranks are quite hard to get hold of now but they’re out there!

Isn't that a risk with any front guard? Or is it because their sexy looking guards don't have the 'breakaway' connectors you'd get with SKS Chromaplastics or similar?
-
• #11897
Always a risk, but my guess is either they failed the ISO test for mudguards, or had a case with a customer injury.

The front could be a bit more tucked in...
Looks fun.
