Sadly not. To get into Austria you need to have a negative test taken within 4 days of travel date with a supporting medical certificate saying you are symptom free. We are travelling on a Monday and few of the self test options guarantee turn around in a suitable timeframe.
The clinic we use gurantees to do the test and certificate within 48 hours, usually within 24.
I didn't think you wew having a dig. Was also worried that I might put people off!
I have a particular discomfort with things being inserterted into my nose because I had some reconstructive surgery after a nasty nose and skull fracture when I was a kid. Had my sinuses stuffed with wadding at some point after the op to put a plate in. Not a great experience. I've had a problem with things going near or into my nose ever since.
