  • No predictions yet...

  • A new bottom bracket standard.

  • New suspension on some Santa Cruz.

Cannondale is switching to a calendar year based model year. No more mid-season new model bullshit.

  • Kona Sutra ULTD

Updated from the LTD with a tapered head tube, more mounts and dropper compatible seat tube

  • Nordest Sardinha II

Was just saying it was about time for a rigid LLS bike

  • Slack and rigid, doesn't sound right does it

  • Good option for combining bikes though. 5 minute job to unbolt your stem and caliper and chuck in a bouncy fork for trail ripping, the rest of the time you've got a great luggage carrying bikepacking rig

  • Very good point

  • Slack and rigid

    Depends what you're watching.
Thing to remember is amongst all the other benefits of LLS that the longer it is the more the feedback through bars is minimised, perfect for a rigid bike.

  • Stooge bikes have been a thing for some time

  • New Tarmac SL7. Not to be old and grumpy, but hasn't the current Tarmac been out for about 10 minutes?

  • There's just nothing exciting about new road bikes these days. Am I getting old?

  • nah you follow the trends like jon 'prolly' watson tells you to and currently he is saying no to road bikes, only slack hardtails

  • everyone is going threaded BB now, Trek as well

  • Alright PhilDAS

I'm actually riding exclusively road at the minute, just not any of this bottlenose unimaginative carbon nonsense

  • First spesh road bike I've liked for a while. It will be a billion pounds for that SWORKS version though and Richmong park will still be full of them.

  • I quite liked the SL6 for looking like a really good, normal road bike. It's a shame they've put a proprietary stem on it, but apparently it's not faster than the Venge.

Do people still actually buy these £10k range toppers?

  • yet you wont ride to me to collect that mech

  • As fast as the Venge but lighter than the SL6 if you believe the marketing. Venge isn't going to be continued.

Do people still actually buy these £10k range toppers?

Amazingly so! SWORKS forms a key part of their business

  • I ride strictly south west

  • You could pass mine and grab that Garmin on the way!

  • Seems I've promised myself to too many

  • Venge isn't going to be continued.

I've also heard the same of the Madone, which is a shame because if I wanted to buy a road bike to pootle to the shops on I'd probably buy one.
