• I have an oddly large bathroom (well, not really, it was a bedroom when the house was built) but it currently feels a bit of an extravagant use of space and I'm looking to divide it up when I re do it, only problem is it isn't easy (to me at least).

This is what I am working with, none of the fittings are being moved from current layout (but open to it).

The smaller area is approx 2.4m x 1.4m but also has to be a corridor. I imagine it being a bit of an extra utility area or possibly a reading nook/office, but one major issue is there would be no windows (transoms across the top of the dividing wall may sort that?).

Anyone seen anything similar done and done well? Anyone got some space utilisation smarts?

  • In the same situation and we have considered moving the washing machine and tumble dryer out of the kitchen and upstairs into a utility cupboard area. However that would also mean moving the boiler which is a bit of a pain. Would be good to get them out of the kitchen though.
