  • Who is running guards and wide tyres on their Pomp?

I’m on 28c tyres and 35mm longboards just now but I feel I should be making more of the bike’s ability to take wider rubber plus I have a ‘Sunday best’ fixed roadie on 25s so I’m thinking 32 or 35mm tyres would be a nice change.

Is there much out there in that kind of width that’ll stand up to a bit of skidding? Wrong thread to be asking that I guess.

  • I’m also interested in this. Paging @Cupcakes

Currently running 35 Chromoplastics with 28c Duranos and 28c Winter Spikes in er... winter.

Would like to run 32/35’s with guards but still want decent clearance as the cycle paths in Edinburgh get real grimy during winter.

Currently getting mounts added to my Pompino fork to be able to run one of those monster Blackburn Outpost front racks for max stuff carrying lols’s.

  • My pompino has 33mm tyres under 45mm SKS guards. It's a nice sweet spot. No clearance issues. (I'm running a crosscheck fork).

My pompetamine fitted 38mm paselas under wide SKS guards (can't remember which, but >45mm)
