It seems about market rate, not exactly a deal.

That’s quite expensive I think. Also, if they are selling to you directly, I’d expect them to discount the eBay commission, so if eBay is doing £700, I’d expect something like £630 -£650. That’s mate’s rate for me, but then it is a mate so you get to know the history of the machine better than an eBay seller which can be pot luck.
I’ve been offered a MBP with the below spec for £750 from a close mate who has had enough of macs any more and is back off to windows. Is that a decent deal? My 2011 MBP is working ok but could die any minute and I do need it when away from home
