I recon you could salvage that headshock. You have lots of time on your hands at the moment right?

Kinda unbelievable that the Synapse is the last road frame they did that didn't look like a dogs dinner
Is this what happens when you turn 40?

Oh it gets far worse

You could fit another bike in the space between the rear wheel and seat tube.

You could fit a 30mm tyre with a mud guard in the space between the rear wheel and seat tube.
Or something

• #13007
Or three mudguards

Saw the 105 Disc version of SS Evo go in the sale for a shade over £2k and bit the bullet, despite the hate for the newer shape on here. Planning to strip the 105 and replace with Ultegra DI2 and some carbon wheels from LightBicycle.
Will then keep the DT Swiss wheels the bike comes from for winter use - does anyone know if I'd have clearance for a 32mm GP 4 Season? I'm not sure what they actually measure up to in reality

Anyone got a 1“ time fork he/she would let go for some cad 3 build?
Cheers

Needs a couple of hours TLC and
newtires.Fixed it.
I've seen a lot of sellers trying to pass ocean floor wrecks off as 'ready to ride away' recently. I guess trying to capitalise on the desperation of people wanting bikes right now.

Hey, sorry for repetitive question, but could some one please enlighten me on wether a 5mm spacer is needed ABOVE the stem on CAAD12 stock headset?
Cheers!
P.S. In addition - looking to buy slam-that-stem CAAD12 headset cover.

Cannondale aficionados assemble. There’s a myriad of things that don’t look right on this build atm but my current focus are the forks. I have a choice between premium+ full carbon or Futura straight blades. If I go with Futura it’ll get a proper matching coat of paint and C graphics on the shoulders as per the Premium. If I go with Premium I may sand off the block silver Premium graphic and just keep the C on the shoulder and the slice on the inside leg. I think the original fork potentially works better with the more classic build but Futura also has a nice look to it. Stem cap and spacers would be dealt with next. Thoughts?

https://www.westbrookcycles.co.uk/cannondale-road-headset-top-cap-bearing-cover-5mm-p265941/s403447 literally just fitted one of these on my CAAD12 today. Next day delivery too!
RE: Spacer, believe it's a single 5mm that is the maximum as opposed to necessary.

There's a myriad of things that look amazeballs on this build atm...
FTFY
I like the premium forks and I'd leave them as are. This all looks great.
What are those wheels?

• #13018
Yep the Dale fork looks fine. Just ride it :)
-
• #13019
something really odd with those futura, they look faster (lets be honest thats what it's about) but the premium feels more natural, like it belongs to the rear end of the frame

Futura forks have my vote! Was these the forks on when I saw you the other day?

Missed out on a £5 1990 3.0 frame from Facebook, gutted as it only needed a new hanger...
Anyway, someone buy my SystemSix so I can get this NOS Ron Cooper I’ve seen.....

You want a 2.8 anyway

No clear winner here then. The Futura's look pretty good in that pic but in reality have a profile that looks a bit off to me as it doesn't match anything on the frame. They also don't look as nice from the front view. Pretty sure I'll go with the Premium's so if anyone is after a nice pair of forks with 210mm steerer DM me. Cranks next.
@greeno cheers, they're DCR flirts on Hope hubs built by Arkane. Nicer profile than XR31 IMO.

DM'd about the fork :)
Spotted this on Ebay
Nothing broken. Needs a couple of hours TLC and new tires.
No mate - it’s fucked
