Any shots of the ‘before’? I want to see how awful it is to warrant day-1 rip-out.

I thought the bathroom was really nice tbh.

Next they are gonna rip out that kitchen
Also bonkers to think that the square footage of our flat is > than that. Not dissing it, lovely little place - sometimes I forget how chunky our place is.

Metro tiles! Scaffold board sink unit! The pipework for that towel rad! Rip it allllll out.
Honestly looks perfectly livable. They must have taken a real dislike to it.

What’s your beef with metro tiles, too basic bitch?

Squeezing a 3rd bedroom in? Ours (same layout not far away) has a bedroom and bathroom in that space.

They must of had a job lot of the metro tiles as they 'were' everywhere!
The kitchen floor tiles are the ones I'm thinking of. Nice to see them in-situ ever though they are Wickes cheapy ones.

I think @Tenderloin had done a really tidy job with it all.
I assume they're repurposing it because even if you don't like metro tiles they're surely not so offensive you'd just rip them all out.
I'm quite glad we got hold of such a tired old place so there's been nothing we felt too bad getting rid of or ripping apart.

We just had the washing machine repair guy round after I spent all of last Friday taking it apart and putting it back together again seemingly to no avail.
He took the pump out, pulled out a bit of hair that I'm sure hadn't been there last week, and now it works fine. Fuck's sake.
He also scolded us for having the washing machine on one of the vibration-dampening mats that I thought were supposed to help stop it walking around. I thought it had been great.

Why exactly?
-
• #33764
Presumably because its harder for him to pull it out to service it.

To be honest I didn't quite catch his reasoning but he said it should be on a hard surface. I might just put it back and then take it away again if he comes back.

Yep.

Probably this.

He owns you now.

I love it when Amey catches a random stray.

We have some Anglian Ultra old double glazed windows. One is stacked: if I turn the handle it releases but the right side is blocked in. They all need some proper maintenance (Few handles and sealings to be replaced) but we would prefer to postpone a complete revamp. Anglian says that if out of warranty they don’t care. Is any lfgss approved handyman that could take care of them? I guess it is not rocket science but they have quite a crucial role.

Shocked to find they’ve used sawdust as loft insulation in my house. It’s about 15cm deep. Guess it’s the way they used to do it in Sweden.

Haha glad to see that our bathroom has had a quick tear down on here, after being torn out irl

Are you gonna replace the bathroom in your new place ? You could have the last laugh and come and collect the old bath and shower and shower screen from the front garden
-
• #33774
I thought it looked pretty good. No accounting for taste.

Am actually going to replace the vanity unit and for something fairly similar - tigged metal frame but using Smile plastics as shelf.
Yeh they've now ripped out the entire bathroom, tiles, shower, bath, the lot and it's all now sat outside.
Seems utterly extraordinary to me. Part of buying a house like that is coolness of having a big bathroom.
