It's... fine? I've had one for years and use it for everything, including week long tours. If you plan routes in advance I can't see why the minimal way it presents a route would be an issue for you. I very rarely take a wrong turning while using it, and if I'm coming into an urban area with lots of roads I just zoom in as much as possible - it works for me.
If you can guarantee that you can just follow the planned route, the Bolt's not too bad. If you're forced to detour, or decide to do a bit of on-the-fly re-routing, then I found the lack of screen size can be a pain. But YMMV.
