I’ve had a couple of Hylix forks and I’ve never had an issue with them. Build quality is good.

Anyone seen any carbon straight steerer forks for long drop brakes with mudguard mounts?

If I wanted a circa 50mm deep 700c rim without a breaking surface for as cheap as possible without being a major health risk where would be the best place to look?
-

@Saffronspokes did you do a group order in the end? I might tag a single rum on if poss but it might not be worth the hassle for you?
-
• #8406
Yeah the order went in at the start of last week I'm afraid.

@Saffronspokes that’s fine, I was late to the game

I’m looking for a carbon seatpost - 27.2, 25mm layback.
Quite tempted to try a VCLS, but struggling to find one. Has anyone spotted one recently or can recommend a decent non VCLS from a reputable seller? Thanks

carbon seatpost - 27.2, 25mm layback
The Toseek (e.g. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32875665589.html, also frequently found on ebay and amazon) works well if you sit over the centre of the clamp, although some people have issues with the pitch angle moving due to sitting on the nose of the saddle, so it's worth considering how you're going to use it.

Would be looking at putting in an order at LightBicycle for a wheelset soonish, I noticed that a couple weeks ago someone on this thread arranged a bulk-buy to get a bit of discount. If there was interest, I could try and get something similar sorted? Not in a huge rush to buy so could put a list together over the next few weeks...

i think that order has gone through already, if you are in London, I am keen.

Yeah that's what I meant, as that ship has sailed we could potentially do another one. I'm in Kingston.

Yeah looks like I will be coming back up to central for work soon (sigh) - go via Waterloo so sure something can be arranged. Office is in Farringdon. I'm not sure what the deal would be with multiple orders and what potential discount can be achieved through doing it that way. If anyone on here has experience feel free to chip in advice on that.

@Saffronspokes whats the minimum quantity and discount involved? Do they charge flat for shipping?
-
• #8417
I organised the last group discount. We got between 5-10% off standard rims and then 20% off pro series rims. You can then share the delivery costs etc. Its definitely cheaper than buying on your own. My advice would be to get all of the group specs sorted and firm commitments from everyone first and then contact LB, saves lots of back and forth and price changes etc.
Edit: In response to Amey's questions. They only offer TPD at the moment so shipping is based on order value. We worked out everyone's share based on the proportional value of their wheels / rims. Minimum for any discount is 4 rims / 2 wheels but they only offer the 20% on 3 sets or more I think.

Are there any chinese aftermarket xd/xdr driver compatible cassettes that are aimed at road?
I can find plenty chinese xd cassettes but they are all mtb wide ratio 10-50t. Maybe the forum hive mind can help.
Is anyone making 11 speed xd cassettes more like 11-32?
Or chinese aftermarket 12 speed cassettes that copy the sram axs 10-33?Its an xdr driver on my new wheels and wondering what the other options are before i spend £100 on the shimano 11 speed freehub

Thanks for this, very helpful. Hopefully we can get a few on board - 20% is a solid discount.

I had a hong-fu as well... I don't any more but the bloke who does is still riding it and it's 8 years old so I'd recommend
