Yeah, I've not responded yet. Not sure I want the stress for a local 25mi.

Norfolkbound, where in Norfolk are you headed to?
If you are going to be in Holt, Sheringham, Cromer then try N Norfolk Wheelers as a club .
They have a summer evening 10 series .

In the update on 08 June, it was said that in anticipation of the government restrictions on social distancing being relaxed sufficiently to allow competition to resume once more, the suspension of competition was to be further extended, although for a limited period only, with Type B ‘club’ events being further suspended up to and including 05 July 2020 and all Type A events being further suspended up to and including 17 July 2020.
Since then, although the social distancing measures have been relaxed quite considerably, it remains the case that as of today’s date, people from multiple households can meet only in groups of up to six.
CTT remains optimistic that it will be possible, within the government guidelines, to resume competition in July. However, the guidance released by the government has not been as clear as had been hoped for. It is anticipated that further clarification will be provided by the government when the amended legislation is published, which is expected on 04 July.
CTT is very much aware that clubs and organisers do need certainty about whether or not events can be held. As the government guidance is not clear, and as the amended legislation will unlikely be available until 04 July, it is very unlikely that CTT will be able to give the “green light” in good time for those club events due to be held in the few days after 04 July.
Accordingly, the suspension of Type B ‘club’ events is further extended by one week, up to and including 12 July 2020, to allow time to consider the legislation and any further government guidance that may be published around the same time.
Type A events remain suspended up to and including 17 July 2020.

I thought I asked this already but I can't find it. Does anyone have GPX files for Breckland 12hr on B12/3 course?
Or any info about how the B12/3 differs from the comp record B12/2 course?
Also, if you've raced it, any tips for riders and supporters?
I'm thinking of throwing an ill-advisted entry in to at least get a course recce done but I see now it's not the 'fast' course.

Anyone have a spare TT Garmin mount? Something like the Zipp one would be ideal. Cash awaits ££

Anyone have a spare TT Garmin mount?
Almost certainly, are you in a hurry? In theory I have K-Edge and Raceware, as long as I can remember where I put them.
-

Not really, mainly for turbo at the mo, but I finally got a proper cycling Garmin after using a 910xt for the past 6-7 years so now all my mounts are 90deg out 😛
-
• #19184
Found the K-Edge, I'm assuming the Raceware got sent to somebody else long enough ago that I've forgotten about disposing of it.
£20 posted if you want it.

I'm in Wymondham.. probably should change the name but oh well...
I've seen that CC Breckland have a club 10 on the 29th so that will be my first, only a few miles away too which is nice.

Got Breckland maps off their Facebook group via another FB account.
Anyone know what roads like? Was just gonna run Vitoria Corsa Speed 25mm and hope for the best.

I did last year's Breckland 12 on 23mm Corsa Speed tubs. Deeply uncomfortable over the rutted sections on the A11 in the northern half of the course, but I didn't puncture or die. I know they've amended the course for this year, but I don't know what the changes are.

Perhaps a long shot, but I'm trying to find out if the cervelo t3/p3 old banned seatpost is uci legal again. Some guy at the velodrome said something along that line, but I have not been able to find any confirming info on this. Word on the street is that some people here ride a t3/p3, so I thought maybe this magic knowledge is among you.

It should be, since they ditched the 3:1 ratio rule which made it illegal and replaced it with a simple maximum chord limit, although the regulations are strangely silent on the question of whether this applies to seat posts and handlebars as it does to frame tubes.

Ah many thanks for clearing that up! I had a few nightmares being sent away from the startline at an international masters race, due to that bloody seatpost. The silence around seatposts and handlebars is still keeping me from being fully reassured, but then again, all races are as good as cancelled anyway.

Thanks for the info. I don't really know the course. I think all the 12s I've done have been with Pro Optimums at like 27mm or Turbo Cottons at 26mm. But I've also spent most of this year riding around on 47mm Horizons at 40psi. :S
I'm thinking 25s Corsas would be the fastest compromise. I really don't know what my appetite for suffering will be given no proper prep for this. I need to check the tyres on the race wheels - pretty sure they're 23s. I may just leave them on and roll with them. Spending £50ea on tyres makes it sound like I'm trying :D -

I want to race this year, at least once or twice if I can.
My team isn't affiliated to CTT this year. Should I just race club TTs and decide if I want to do it properly next year, or is there a point in joining a CTT-affiliated club for whatever happens this season?

Only you can decide. If the clubs whose type B events you want to ride will accept CTI entries, you don't need to affiliate. You must be a member of an affiliated club to ride type A events, but it doesn't have to be whatever two bit team you're currently in which was unable to find £30 to rub together, you can just join lfgss.cc and ride under that banner for TTs.

Looked this up the other day to see if 3T Ventus bars would be legal now. Looks like they're still illegal. 3:1 still applies to stem, bars, seatpost etc. It's just the frameset that's exempt. Bottom of page 42 here:https://www.uci.org/docs/default-source/equipment/clarificationguideoftheucitechnicalregulation-2018-05-02-eng_english.pdf?sfvrsn=fd56e265_92&fbclid=IwAR2ikNYLY_MTesMQb80u0fxr2jWt0s7NhxOJ228jBwSRIuGddE_VRR0D_5E
That being said, depends on the event. National masters track are pretty relaxed, Tour of Cambridgeshire don't care. Would only really worry about it for BC Nat's tbh (another P3 owner here, btw! Use it for pursuits at HHV).
EDIT - that's the 2018 regs it seems...
EDIT EDIT - link says 2018, text says 2020, so that is the up to date version -

Bottom of page 94
You know your regulations are wrong when the clarification book is twice the length of the actual regulations.
-
• #19197
When you're right, you're right! Fair to say the clarifications may as well be the actual regs...
-
• #19198
Is there a simple website to see what you gain through different depth wheels?
-
• #19199
No. Depth is not a consistent guide to aeroness, and even sites which lay out the gains from specific wheel designs are rarely free from bias and hard to interpret given that the rest of your set up is unlikely to match the test rig.

So I'm still fucked, right? Well, there's still time to find a 3:1 post of a new bike....
@gbj_tester Iwas actually going to attend the wc in manchester, where they seem to be quite picky on the regulations, according to some quite picky masters I spoke to.
FWIW Westerley has cancelled all remaining TTs for the season on the basis that lots of the organisers and volunteers are vulnerable (ie old). Assumption was that the WLC events would be off, but good luck to your guys if they can get that one away!
I've copied the link to our email group so people can shout if they are interested in riding.
