The thing I hate about the whole Ratcliffe/Grandier thing is that when Jaguar LandRover refused to sell him the old Defender tooling, he just decided to carry on anyway, and laugh at JLR when they gave up trying to sue him because they dont have an ocean of disposable income to piss away on lawsuits like he does.
He offered to buy after they stopped making them, they said no and then he found out they didn't have patents/trademarks/whatever covering the shape so copied it. Their hard luck and you'd think that a 25B+ company would have thought someone might do this sooner or later and covered their arses. Not arguing that Ratfcliffe is a nice guy, just that I don't have a huge amount of sympathy for a huge company who are annoyed someone copied a design they didn't properly protect.

Also, how could you possibly 're-engineer the 4x4 for the 21st century' and put a fucking fossil fuel burning engine in it. There would have at least been a point to the whole thing if it was electric, but no, that wasnt cunty enough for Ratcliffe.
