Modern road bike with disc brakes... what can I get these days?

If you want “up to date” and need a more relaxed road bike for the back, I'd give a Canyon Endurace a look.

The Carbon 7.0 disc and Al 7.0 disc are in budget. By the time you source a half decent frame, r7020 groupset & parts, the saving might not be that big.

Thanks. Well, I’m just poking around at the moment. And with discs, that means an thru axle, and that means modern, doesn’t it?
I’d love a nice titanium or stainless steel frame, I see a nice one on eBay but they don’t come up very often. Or I don’t look hard enough.

Modern right now is 12x100 / 12x142 thru axles, flat mount disc brakes and clearance for 28-32mm tyres.
