what a let down our trophy lift is gonna be tonight, the missing 50,000 fans is gonna make it a wet silent blanket of a celebration, jordans little jig before he lifts it will seem incongruous, the lap of honour to an empty stadium filled with max headroom style floating heads on great electronic screens will feel hollow
and how come we didn't lift it weeks ago when we won it,. they used to have the trophy in a helicopter and flew it to the title winners on the day they won it presented at the end of the game, this huge delay has put yet another dampner on things
the trip up to anfield to see my spiritual home and the open top bus parade cancelled
gah ! i wish we'd never won the darn trophy
