  • Hmmm.. I had to take one apart because I disengaged the moving piston. It's not too hard, and there are instructions available through SRAM's webiste.
Bearing replacement should be pretty straight forward.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm pretty happy with my Carradry SQR bag.

  • Today was a bit harder than expected

  • I noticed that you went from a brooks saddle to a GB one.
Which model did you get, and how are you getting on with it?

  • Hey, yeah it's an Aravis open/ouver with Ti rails. I mainly got it for my road bike but it's also very nice for touring. Essentially it's a luxury Brooks, less wide than the B17 I had before. It shapes really well to my sitbones - they're very uneven - and therefore more comfy than a non-leather saddle. The Brooks is good but the GB is better.

  • Twice the price better?

  • Thanks a lot!
I'm looking at the Aspin, which is the Aravis with stainless rails instead of Ti. I have gotten on really well with Brooks (both B17 and flyer) and I'm wondering wether the slightly narrower GB will be an issue - would you consider the change in width significant?
