New drive train on my worker, ultegra 10s shifters with xt 9s rd and zayante cranks, perfect combo IMHO.

Nice! Got the same on my commuter. Did you gut the left-hand shifter?

Haha they seem OK in the dry so far but not sure the Peaks is a wise move...

Not yet and it doesn't bother me as I thought it would.

Nice! And similar to mine also classic mtb, custom Fredy Ruegg Max OR tubes. I'm converting it to 650b adventure bike with cantilevers and rigid steel fork. I hope to finish it in two weeks.

If it's still functioning, I wouldn't sacrifice it either. I had a broken left-hand 105 shifter and gutted it. Surprisingly, the flappy lever doesn't bother me with this set-up.
The Freddy looks like an interesting project and deserves a cp thread ;) -

Does it work, old canti's and 650b?
-
• #127093
Why not, if they work on cx. Oldie goldie kind of thing, brake pads quality is important.

I think Wims question was more about pad position - is there enough room to push the pads up enough to work on 650b rims? (difference in radius between 26" and 650b is ~12mm). Or are you repositioning the canti studs?

Never had much love for this bike for some reason but after it having been hanging up for a year unloved, I’ve serviced it and played with the position and it’s just made me grin like a loon after months of only using my heavy steel commuter.

Klein-style fades would be "authentic" for an Olmo of that Age:
But you can't go wrong with the fat scheme either.
