From what I've read their dealer support has been woeful and is more the reason of their decline, than prices or consumer preferences changing.
Why would dealers bother with a brand which consumers don't want because its pricing is out of proportion to perceived value?
Time clearly set out in the beginning to be a direct rival to Look, but simply never achieved the scale to be that. Now whenever Rossignol gets passed around the market, the new owners find Time at the bottom of page 94 of the contract are like "Oh, you're here too?"

And why would dealers bother with a brand who are so poor with supplying stock that they can't get warranty parts or specific sizes in any kind of reasonable timeframe.

They had 90s clearance well into the late 00s and they've been bought by an e-bike company. I wouldn't hold my breath...

You seem to have failed to tell us which search term on Google you used to get that advert to come up 🙂

Hi
I bought one when they still had size small.
It's lovely, but to be fair, it's not the same as a 'real' french or Tunisian Look. Even down to the box it comes in, user manual, etc. However, good tubeset and they're quite rare in the UK. Theres a beaut one of the pre release chrome lugged versions for sale on the forum - same frame but way more special, for a price you couldn't build if you could ever find a frame. If you're a large I'd go for that (and presuming it hasn't sold)

I think I was image searching Masi fork crowns and lugs... I don't know how the internet works!

Yeah saw that - not in need of anything like this at the moment but saw this ad, new from a shop and was tempted...

Lovely follow up from the MGOF thread. Great details and the frame takes that campy pretty well.
Edit: AND in the CP! Rowdy.

Thank you sir, one also tries to make the bike as best as it can be.

Heavy AF though.

how do you rate chorus 11 against, say DA mechanical ?
-
• #2669
Not very a fair comparison tbh, chorus is more like 105.
Current DA wins by a mile, shifting is probably the same but for me the braking is where shimano wins hands down just more responsive and engaging and you can trust braking late compared to campy chorus. I'm not sure if super record would be much difference but so far I would definitely pick DA at this moment in time.

chorus is more like 105.
Just twice the price

• #2671
thanks, i thought it would sit between ultegra and DA for weight and feel, but good to know.
-
• #2672
In my head there is super record = DA, record = Ultegra and chorus = 105.
But tbh there is very little difference with DA and Ultegra aside from the visual and weight these days (and of course price)
-
• #2673
I sort of agree, but If everything is dura-ace on your build rather than ultegra ( cassette + chain + bb + cables ) you might find yourself enjoying your shifting a little more ( *extra kph optionnal )

• #2674
Where I'm from that's no problem. Fewer spokes ftw

Chorus = DA. Shimano don't make anything that matches Record and SR.
Ive been dreaming about buying a time for 5 years at least - putting a bit away regularly from after-hours project stuff. Hopefully they stay around and come out with a bike that fits 28 or 30mm tyres. Changing pedals would suck too.
