That is a nice watch. Could almost tempt me away from a Black Bay.

Pretty much designed as tool watches from the start.

Jokes aside, the latest Seamasters are banging. A much needed update.

Ha! Is 36 the official age when Seamasters start to look good?
It's about the time you have enough disposable income to afford one.

I know the conventional wisdom is to be careful with older watches and water resistance , but I’ve never really worried about my old GMT.
Should I ?
It’s only ever used for a swim , no diving .
It’s been serviced properly , crown in tight , surely it’s ok .... no ? -
• #46436
It’s pretty much normal , bars and restaurants open , staff wearing visors or masks .Punters don’t have to , but supposed to in shops .Relatively busy , but the weather is kind atm .
There has been an upsurge in cases on the coast but the youth seem unconcerned. -

Nice! been looking at this (or similar model) recently. The whole SNZG11K1 / SNZG11J1 Made in Japan/elsewhere debate is ... heavy... any idea if it matters in terms of functionality/quality?
-
• #46444
At that level they’re almost certainly all made in the same factory (and not in Japan). The K1/J1 etc is just badging / labelling / designation for different markets.

Serious?!

• #46446
Yep, said he got it ‘a while back’ as an anniversary present and likes it because normal people don’t notice it!
-
• #46447
Got it, thanks. looking for a small durable everyday watch and this looks like a good candidate.
-
• #46448
I like it , I looked at the site .
Value I reckon -

Not sure I’d call it small at 42mm but a durable everyday watch it definitely is. Have a friend who was bought one as his first and only mechanical watch and he absolutely loves it.
This one’s 36mm, bracelet is from Seiko’s “straight in the bin” range but the watch itself looks good I think:
