Done right they can be a good variation especially in savoury crumbles.
Our family only ever has oats in their crumble, I think I've only ever had crumble without them for school dinners.
25g oats, 50g flour, 50g butter, 100g light brown sugar. Makes enough for a 2 person crumble.
Lovely. Does anybody else prefer to measure in imperial for baking? As in 1oz oats 2oz flour 4oz sugar Etc
I find it much more convenient and memorable. But my other half is European and her scales only measure in g. Must get me some old fashioned ones.
