At the risk of derailing the thread, where is this?

Julie’s Hand Car wash, Hatch Ln E4 is where I’ve been post-Epping on a few occasions. They've hosed the crap off of me before as well.
He at least turns the pressure down and wasn’t harsh on the drivetrain/hubs but any handwash place will help you out I’m sure.
Obvs it’s not a deep clean/service by an industry type who’s gonna lavish care and attention some might want and expect but you gets what you pay for! Then again a post-mtb wash is a different kettle of fish to deep cleaning commuter bikes covered in winter skunge. -

Don’t use the car wash places...they’ll kill your bearings and your hydraulic brakes and it’s a bit Guardian I know but IiRC these places are pretty notorious for treating the guys who do the wash like proper shite.
Epping...I just pay the guys at the bike hire a pound and use their kit and do it myself.

I agree on the potentially treating the guys poorly Thing but I think it’s unfair to suggest that every hand wash is complicit in modern slavery. I commute round the a406 and have seen begging on the rise lately. One old boy I used to give a few coins/food to is now working at one of the more upscale car washes, he looks healthier and better for it. I used to work for cash at the absolutely arse-end of the jobs market and would rather be in a car wash than shaking a cup for coppers on a busy junction.
I’ve never had my hubs or brakes fucked up by them in my experience. Just tell them to go easy on those bits.
As I said, they’re not offering the same type of service as washmy but if you find a good one then they’re ideal for when you’re proper filthy.Apologies for the massive derail...

Had a go this evening as my bike was very muddy after the weekend’s bikepacking. £7 option, never had a bike so clean, 10/10 will washmy.bike again.

Passed the van on Endymion Road again tonight and my commuter bike was filthy, so I’m giving it a go.

After a particularly grubby weekend in Essex I plumped for their midrange service (£15).
More than happy with the results!

Good eye, I'll take it back tomorrow.
Beyond upset xx
My local hand car wash does my bikes for £3 when I come out of Epping covered in shite.
That’s steam washed, hand dried and a quick spritz of 3in1 on the drivetrain.
Obvs they’re not ‘into bikes’ so might not lavish the same attention as washmy.bike but they deal with flashy motorbikes and boy racer cars so don’t fuck around.
I’ve done the same thing for years at various hand car wash places and tbh I assumed that’s what everyone did?
