I feel that life was simpler when there were fewer tyres to choose from.

I am not likely to meet any dry tarmac here. Weather right now is kinda shitty. Thats makes me kinda sad. Serves me right for buying those tires out of impulse.. ;) I just wanted some sexy tires for my touring, haha

Those look like city jets. Just 4 times the price. Denied

I spent ages deciding on this (but slightly wider). Went with Maxxis Ikons in the end and I'm really happy with them.

Finally retiring my 32mm Gravel King Slicks. Recommendations for 32mm exclusively Road riding, durable and fairly low rolling resistance? Going to be ridden daily, rain or shine. I was thinking GP 4 Seasons but wondered what the forum would suggest. Tan wall is a bonus!

GK slicks again?
Bicycle Rolling Resistance reviewed them finally and (in 38c guise) look to be the same or less rolling resistance than GP 4 Seasons...

Challenge strada bianca. Come up ~33-34 on 21 internal rims. Prob more like 32 on 17-19 internal. Roll amazingly well, pain in the arse to fit when new though.

So....managed to get some Schwalbe CX on it, 30c! A little heavy but cheap at 15 a pop and seems grand for the job in hand!

I second this proposal. They are excellent tyres, only available in black wall though.

There you go, definitely more aggressive than I was thinking.

Painted sidewalls rather than actual cotton? Pass.

Looks like @youramericanlover is moving to Japan

I don't need to move to Japan, I already live in a Pasela state of mind

BTW I have been on 40 mile rides that were less taxing than mounting this pair of Vittoria Terreno Wets, oh my goodness

It’s all in the thumbs.

Yeah well my thumbs feel like a plate of steak tartare

Thanks, you put me back onto the Schwables. Ended up going for some Marathon Mondials because they looks to have a bit more tread for gravelly sections.

Excellent, dont buy the gumwall/hipster tyre hype ESPECIALLY Compass.
Might want to get some Schwalbes then!
Seriously - they're lovely on dry tarmac but slidey in the wet and not very resistant to cuts.
