Handsling A1R0 frame, fork and seatpost.

  • Hi,

This has survived the past year or so as "wall-art" but the missus has got the hump with all my various bike stuff distributed about the house so it's time for it to make way LOL!

The frame and fork is a Handsling A1R0 - bought from Handsling Bikes ([https://handslingbikes.com/]).

    Here's a review from Cycletech: https://handslingbikes.com/blogs/news/158647495-handsling-bikes-a1r0-feature-on-cycletechreview-com?_pos=6&_sid=634fbc765&_ss=r

This is when I took the bike for a test ride: https://handslingbikes.com/blogs/news/mikes-mind-blown-by-the-a1r0?_pos=5&_sid=634fbc765&_ss=r

The frame is a 52 and attached below is the geometry chart.

I am a member of the Handsling race team, and bike is finished in the team colours. I bought this bike (from Simon @ Handsling) when I was younger/fitter and training to start racing. The years have passed since then and it doesn't look like my racing career is going to lift off and I replaced this with a less aggressive climbing style frame (also from Handsling).

The bike was my best/main bike for almost 4years and I loved it so much I used it all year round - hence the paint chips etc. The worst affected area is around the bottom bracket as a result of a chain drop. After the chain drop I decided enough was enough, stripped the bike and had it inspected by Carbon Bike Repair (Dorking).

All the yellow/circled areas are what CBR highlighted. Nothing of any significance or structural issues were identified, however they did point out that a small defect had started to form at the top/back/outer edge of the seatpost. The crack/defect has not come through to the inside of the seatpost and would be a straightforward repair.

Not really sure of a price - so I'll put a 'discussion value' of £250 on it. The frame has full internal cabling and can run either mechanical or electronic groupsets. I was using Ultegra di2 (battery located in the seat tube).

It's available for viewing/inspection in Horsham, West Sussex - and as I say, I'm open to offers on the price :)

    Thanks,

    Mike

  • UPDATE: had a quote this morning from Eddie @ Eddies Carbon Bike Repairs to repaint the affected areas and repair the seatpost of £120.

So, considering the repair/repaint cost I would put a price of £225 for the frame, fork and seatpost
