Well they are quite rare and you would be buying from the world’s premier authority on vintage Grand Seiko.
I didn’t pay near that (maybe a third) because it had some rust spots on the edge of the dial but with a mint case and indices it still felt special. I feel I was lucky to even get a shot at owning this reference.
Cheers, I did actually enquire as to the price of an at best, good condition 6186-8000 on the Seiko guys website, $14k......
was expecting a lot but.....
