Beijing has now followed up the statemant which normally means action. It shows how scared they are of the upcoming elections. They are just getting rid of the opposition.

Carrie Lam accuses HK opposition's primaries of being acts of subversion. At the very least, HKGov will likely follow this up by disqualifying the opposition candidates, arrests/detention a possibility.
Genuine opposition is now treason.
