Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't cruise control bad for fuel economy runs?
It's quite good in terms of making you plan on how to maintain that speed - lots of anticipation required in not having to touch the brakes or the accelerator once in 400km.
If you're using the throttle yourself it's very easy to put the foot down to get round things - and on/off throttle openings are the enemy of economy, constant (small) throttle openings are the way forward.
Suspect your tank might be a little larger, but I can get about 350 miles out of a full tank in the 535, going 80-90ish, non-stop. I reckon you're 3 fill ups for your trip down wth half a tank left when you arrive.
Mrs. Nahg recently bought a W176 A180 and the Distronic cruise control is absolutely brilliant! I'm looking forward to having some long drives but so far I'm extremely impressed!
