• Hi!

I'm James and I've just been volunteering with refugees in Greece for a year with this project: https://lowtechwithrefugees.org/ we got old bikes donated from Germany, fixed them up so refugees could use them to get away from the camp and live their lives a tiny bit better. it was a lot of work, we didn't make any money but we did help a lot of people.

I'm coming back to London on Friday 17th July for a few weeks, to work and earn some money before setting off again... has anyone got a bike i could please use around 3 weeks? Going to be based in Camden, a 54-55cm frame would be ideal!

Here's a video to give you more of an idea what we were up to: https://youtu.be/GOj_oHRWhWo?t=547

    Big thanks in advance!

  • I have a ratty singlespeed (size small, but I ride a 54 in proper bikes) in North London. You will probably find something better in the meantime but ping me if you are still stuck without one nearer the time..

  • Hi James, I have a 54cm Langster ss/fixed, running 46/16 at the moment. Drop bars, currently no rear brake (I have one you could fit)
Pick up Warspite Road, Greenwich, SE18 5NR

    Let me know if interested
    Cheers
    William

PS well done with your awesome work, I've been trying to do something similar here in London for NHS staff.

  • amazing thanks! i'll send you a pm

  • thanks for the offer! think i'll take up william as it's a better size, but appreciate it!
