I use a Faithfull Grass hook
You can separate the blade from the handle and fit it inside a pannier or saddlebag easily. Cheap as chips, I've had mine for well over 30 years, it's on it's second handle and third blade, and I've swapped out the nuts for wing nuts. The only original parts are the bolts. Very effective too.
I wrap the blade in a length of old seatbelt to keep it safe. -

Sounds like my Camper is the one to take with me on the trails then...
(I suppose anything with a suitable cover/scabbard will look suitably like a tool rather than an offensive weapon, though I like the idea of a grass hook sticking out of the saddlebag for that pint-sized grim reaper effect - am guessing it would greatly cut down on close passes...)

I'd not bought any Opinel for ages, so treated myself to 2 today.

Further Opinel related questions: wich one should I get
I'm guessing that the hive mind says 2019 (lower) edition instead of 2020 (top) or secret option ordinary in olive?

Both. ;) Do they come with presentation boxes, or are they going to be used?

It was 40 euro......so tempting....
They had blank guns too, for 80 euro.I ended up with a decathlon recurve bow for 20 euro as it was a very old model. Still exact enough to put a steel tipped carbon arrow through a circa 10cm tree from 5m away.

Couple of little guys I’ve found helping to clear out my Girlfriend’s Gran’s place (don’t worry she’s not dead just in a home closer to family 😂)
MINTEX was where her husband worked (apparently they made disc brakes for cars) super slim, and made of Sheffield steel will be nice as an EDC.
The other thing has no markings whatsoever but looks well made and is incredibly sharp.

They seemed to have just about everything you could imagine MINTEX branded. I’d not heard of them before, but it seems like they gave out good presents.
N+1 your Carradice collection with a Nelson Longflap... I can fit my machete in mine at a squeeze.
