I'll get it running first, see what it's like, need to spend money on esc/motor combo, pinion gear, paint, and a 3mm 0.5 thread tap. That'll pretty much do it for this month (and next). Will definitely have a look though, is that through Shapeways?

I put a cheaply goolrc combo in mine it’s rapid and didn’t cost much

I have a hobbywing combo in the Impact, have the programme card too, so I'll stick with the same, maybe a different turn motor though, so I have a choice, but I do like the speed of the 10.5, quick, but not uncontrollable.

I’d be happy to take the shell yeah, I like them. The HotShot vibes are strong. They are also faster than the 201 shells ;)

Do you have scientific data to prove the speed difference between Zahhak and 201 body shells? ;)

Nah the TRF team tested them and recommended the Zahhak shell for racing.

As I'll just be thrashing not racing, I'll go for the 201 body.

Yeah uses the modern oil sealed TA06 gear diff.

@Matisse - to use truck wheels on the front of a 2wd buggy you either need new hubs with the long axle or a hex conversion? Is that right? The later sounds appealing.

Afaik. Depends on finding hex drive front wheels though.

For Tamiyas, Mad Bull axles work

201 bodies are good but don’t fit over my cheapo electrics.

In what regard? Fits the DN01 perfectly, and I know my electrics fit under a 201 shell, running same hobbywing gear across the board.
