The model is Legacy, I can’t find it in any of the catalog archives on retrobike but based on the parts & decals I’m guessing late 90’s/early 00’s. Hopefully someone can enlighten me.
It’s only chromo main triangle and the parts are bottom end shimano/promax. I chucked everything apart from f&f, stem/bars and brakes(I’d like some black deore vs tho). They did do a pretty decent spec hybrid called the Nomad which I’d love to get.
The main cool point of the legacy is it’s covered in rack bosses inc mid blade and double fork dropout eyelets so you could prob build a tourer from one. They’re hideous stock(mine had a full length chainguard as well, still got the chainstay mount which I should cut off at some point) but there’s def potential.
They come up on eBay/gumtree all the time for pennies so they were prob stocked by Halfords or similar back in the day.The ride is great, I’m a big fan.

Very nice!
Afaik it’s identical to the “arette”? I bought one for my gf, great little bike. Was surprised to see the mid-blade and mount at chain stay etc.
I think stock it came with 3x7 nexave with promax V’s, only annoying thing is the 1 1/4” headtube. I wanted a sealed bearing headset but seems fairly difficult to source one
Might copy you and update it to a 9/10 speed, as the 7s is fine for the gf getting to work but with a mega range cassette the cadence jumps are a bit erratic

There were a couple of cool GT hybrid/"crossover" models in the early 90s, maybe 1991 which had 700D wheels (583mm bsd) rather than 700c (622mm) wheels. Pretty much the same size as 650B/27.5" (584mm). They also had horizontal dropouts on the fork, so you could adjust the front wheel position. Double bosses at both dropouts, 3 water bottle bosses and mid blade bosses. GT Tachyon and Continuum, Tange Infinity tubing I think.
Edit. In this catalogue:

Maybe USA only.
Also came with the cool GT flip flop stem.
Looks fierce! What era and model exactly it is?
On another subject. Finally finished my daily bike,
Pretty happy of the result :)
