It'll cut grass which is wet.
That's just one advantage.

ETA - FWIW you can pick up an electric mower for ~£70.00.
A scythe, stones etc will set you back the best part of £200.00

That's good.

Just curious really.

I've used a hand scythe and machete (+ stick) before and something which let's you stand up sounds more appealing.
