Looks as damn near as I've seen anywhere. You didn't find it on the floor in central London 4 years ago did you? haha

Speaking of... back on the bracelet as the strap gets in the wash. I like it better than the first time round.

Steinhart are popular round these parts. Their raison d'etre is to copy as many Rolex sport references as they can. They're good watches for the money, if you want to wear a copy of a Rolex.

Yes. In all honesty was a pain. Probs the toughest I've ever had it on a watch. There's probably a knack.
Tried it. Gave up.
Had a few beers. Tried again. Went fine.

The chap on here selling the similar seiko, probably where you saw my link to the comment 4 years ago, has helped me with it and apparently I'm looking for 7123 (movement) 8290 (case) 8320 (dial)

Out of interest, what is the go-to small diver at around £1k?
Oris. Longines.

You got lucky with that model! The latest one a bit too much in comparison (new ocean one vintage).

Longines
So weird though. Every time I look at one I'm like "yeah, yeah, yeah OH MY GOD WHY DID THEY DO THAT THOUGH?" It's like their design department's moto is 'snatch defeat from victory'.
Case in point.

Holy crap it's like you read my mind. I want to like them but just can't.

You have to give them credit for managing to make them lighter than air, though.

The nice ones are here and there.
A few of the recent ones are spoiled by the date placement.
But that retro diver and there's one with cathedral hands I'm sure I've posted before that's nice in the flesh.
A bit like Zenith, they're watches you suggest to other people.

Zenith do some bangers tho
But yeah marmite

Longines Hydroconquest. Awesome for the money, particularly the ceramic bezel ones.
-
• #46246
If only they'd use photos rather than renders
-
• #46247
Life moto. 😎
-
• #46248
Definitely.
I just mean they're watches people who like watches like and rate, but yet rarely buy.
I've only ever met one person wearing one irl.
-
• #46249
I kind of want another Zenith

Thanks,Cheap import taxes,,, will start saving for Gauge Bronze in their next sale
Okay what the deal with them? They’re impressively priced for those who can’t afford a Rolex, not a Tudor.
