  • Yeah - we might have done. It was definitely a massive issue with ours which was south facing... made it unusable on some days.

    It's something we sort of encountered in our current house as the kitchen is south facing and gets really warm.

    We've solved it with this stuff. Takes 50% of UV heat out of the room which is enough to make it usable even in the recent 30 degree days.

  • I really must order the film, but keep forgetting when it pishes down again.
    Attic bedrooms get too hot with South facing Velux windows.

  • It's great - you really should.

    I would recommend the reflective film for Velux windows though as they remove 89%+ of solar heat. Because they're facing the sky, it doesn't matter if no one can see in.

    We used the 50% solar energy removal stuff because we didn't want reflective film when we were in the garden.
