Discovered Allen Millyard a few months ago and have been enjoying lots of his shed-made bonkers creations on YouTube. For those who aren't aware, enjoyed this interview with him.

The flying Millyard is a madman. Nobody so softly spoken can create such monsters and still be sane.

Genius and insanity....

Would love to see spoked wheels on that. But mostly would love to be part of the Guzzi Gang.
Went for a couple hours on the stupid little bike, something like an hour solid on green lanes, nothing too technical, same old trails between Wroughton and Avebury via Broad Hinton. Be nice if the entire Ridgeway was open, but still spoiled for choice with alternatives. Will take some grabs from the gopro once it transfer.
Was nice to have a bitter shandy break before retracing the route.
Edit: btw funny to think my piece of shit has the same Hagons as your V50

I'm going to get my haircut tonight, and I am quite excited about the run down to Southend to the salon.
Leaving earlier than necessary to get a quick blast down the promenade in before hand.
I've not done a longer ride than 10 miles or so in ages. -

Salon? Are you going full Kevin Keegan?

I spent the whole day fitting new heat shielding. I thought it would be easy but I ended having to faff with the subframe. I'm hoping it'll make riding in warmer weather a little more bearable.

As soon as I typed it, I thought it'd either end up in the golf club thread, or I'd get stick.
I like the suggestion, I'll see what my guy says

How bad was it from factory? I dread to think what the old twins with tail pipes felt like in summer.

I'm back to the monster commute tomorrow - 200 miles plus heavy rain - at least it won't be dark hey ? First time out on BMs too. Apparently the first gen. ABS can be tremendously exciting.

There are other small block Guzzi with wire wheels but you can’t fit them to the V50.

It's not great. On a reasonably warm day it's bearable for about a hour-and-a-half and uncomfortable for anything past that. If the reviews are correct this will make a noticeable difference.
After 260k miles my Honda gave up the ghost so this is going to be my main and only bike. So I need it to step out from its weekend warrior status and become an (overpowered) day to day runner.

The A127 is 50mph all the way now

This won’t get wire wheels. Way too troublesome. If I really wanted that I’d be better off with a different model. I’ll paint the wheels black though and hope it helps.
I’m going to ride it to the beach tomorrow and see if I can learn myself to slide without too much injury. Probably not, but hopefully fun. -

Is that an 899 ?
-
• #15493
Looks like V4 Pan unless I'm much mistaken. Hell of a commuter Hobo - What's your commute like?
-
• #15494
Should have spotted that from the block really...
Still fancy picking up a panigale. Not sure the wife would approve though.

I painted the wheels on my v50 I’ll post a picture tomorrow .
To fit wire wheels you would have to change the final drive it’s fairly unique to the v50 so Nevada etc ones won’t fit
-
• #15496
Thanks. I’m looking forward to see it.
Yep. I’m not going down the wire route with this. -
• #15497
I still cycle commute. The Panigale has been kept outside of London since I've owned it. I don't live in the safest of places and the fear of theft is something that plays on my mind. Regardless, I can't justify having two bikes anymore so the Panigale is stepping in to fill the gap.
-
• #15498
Yeah, same reason I can't really justify the bike I really really want. It just wouldn't last.
Wrong about multiple bikes. You can always have multiple bikes. Always.
Anyway, how did the heat shielding come along? More details please? You doing anything else to it? -

I sold my TZR mentioned upthread today. Happy to have all the space back. must. not. replace with another sports bike :)

Great! Hope you got a good offer!
I did pine after it but definitely was the wrong time to buy a track weapon.
Fit with a spark arrestor, if the can doesn't have one and leave it at that..IMO
If you are supermotoing, go the whole hog, get the base of the cylinder skimmed to up the compression and free exiting exhausts. Oh and get lots of filters as the 350 engine, from memory is hours not miles.
