Undeniably horrid, yet at £76 it is only a paint scraper and a few cheap components (plus rattlecan) away from being a useable bicycle.

The Cherubim at probably more than 100x that price is the greater sin.

Yet I know which one I’d take...Source for Cherubim? Appears to be 11sp w/ friction shifters?..

Yep, without doubt, to resell to a muppet with more money than sense and a wall hanger above their koi pond.

Then spend the money on a bicycle.

Did Cherubim once make a nice bike and I missed it? Otherwise I don't get why people get so overexcited.

Surely the top choice if you’re into baroque sporting goods.

They often have bizarre Japanese touches and some questionable aesthetics but, they make some more standard road and CX frames which I think are nice , I would also suggest that the craftsmanship is excellent.

Proof that it can be done better and lighter with modern frame materials for anyone who doesn't have a body shape necessitating a custom frame.

It's a bit style over substance and not quite what I'd have chosen, but it hangs together pretty well on its own terms. Not anti for my money.

That's more like it, expensive, ugly and single hideous chainring to reduce gear range.

I know exactly what you mean. It manages to hang on despite the red flags.
