• Hey All, I’ve inherited (a good few years ago) a Rolex Air King Oyster Perpetual. It was well worn by my late dad on the daily, and could do with a proper service and repair. I originally took it to Rolex in St James for a quote on service/replacement of parts, came back as 700 odd quid, which is either reasonable or a ‘Rolex’ quote. Was wondering if anyone on here would suggest an alternative servicing company and wether they would offer a similar level of service for less money. Or should I just stick with Rolex and accept that my dad should have just taken better care of his watch! Cheers

  • Robert Reeve is my go-to for vintage Rolex.

He has serviced my Air King 5700 before, and has done my Dad's 1988 5700 too. He has also done some bracelet and case repairs for me before. Might be a waiting list, but will be cheaper than Rolex and he will do a cracking job.
