  • So sorry to read this

  • :-(

  • Literally distraught.

Everyone who struggles, thought YSB was winning.

  • Oh, no. Just found out about this. So sad.

  • Bollocks. I loved that guy. Mrs Q and I spent a great evening with him in Brooklyn a few years ago. I had no idea he was anything but happy.

  • Lovely guy, RIP... 💔

  • Just saw the post on FB, so sad to hear.

  • Dunwich Dynamo brakeless, RIP Michael.

  • Currently crying. Too sad. So many memories of his smile and shredding through London and New York. RIP Michael, you are truly missed.

  • Very sad news. Have great memories of talking America with him at the Jolly Butchers, riding track and the odd forum ride with (and me being intimidated by his fierce tattoo collection). What a terrible loss.

  • It's just really sad. Going to have drinks in Victoria park in his memory on Monday evening (tomorrow!) all welcome.

  • Shit. Michael was such a sweet bloke.
Loved bumbling into him when he was in London. He came to Easts a lot and drank pints of herbal tea.
He loved to ride his bike fast
    RIP

  • Micheal was a really great guy, seemingly happy and great fun to be around.
Was taught what the slang term shitbag meant, by Micheal and it always made me smile when seeing him.

    Ride in peace.

  • This is a terrible shame. I didn't know him well but always liked him. I remember feeling sad when he left London.

Where in Victoria Park and when, Caz? I'll come.

  • This is so sad. RIP Michael.

  • RIP dude.

  • From 18:00.
Ask @Cazakstan to pm you deets.

  • Near Mela Gate!

  • RIP Michael.

  • My best memory with Michael was working for Ticketmaster and very academically weighing up the pros and cons in deciding whether to see Limp Bizkit or Rammstein which clashed at Download. Ended up doing both and it was nothing short of epic. I was sad I missed him in NYC for a matter of days and now we’ll never see him again. This is sad beyond words. See you all tomorrow to chat shit and have fun, which is certainly what he would have wanted.

    RIP my dude.

  • Incredibly sad. Michael was one of the first people I interacted with on the forum some 10 years ago. Always a smile and a laugh. Sorely missed.
    Rest easy brother.

  • I didn’t know you Michael,
but much love from the forum.
    Ride in Peace
    xxxx

  • Still trying to process this, I fully credit Michael with getting me back into cycling when I'd all but lost interest. He always had so much energy, always had a smile on his face, just a great person to be around.
Hope he's happy wherever he is

  • Very sad, rest in piece Michael.

  • Just to mention tonights meet up in his honour again. 6pm, the gate next to the People's Tavern now. Will be good to see some faces I've not seen in a while and remember Shitbag together.
