  • Steve Priest.

  • We just haven’t got a clue what to do!!

    How apt!!

I looked so cool in my electric blue hipsters and platform shoes when they were at their height. I was 9.

  • Bob the Cat. Not really my thing but my gf is gutted.

  • Willie Thorne, 66

  • Alex Taylor of Scottish C86 era Indie band The Shop Assistants who strangely seems to have died 15 years ago but it's only just been reported

  • Bit weird re the 15 years but a great band.

This was in a 2019 interview about The Motorcycle Boy

The big mystery is the whereabouts of Alex Taylor. The last I heard she had got married and moved back to her native Perth. I did make attempts to track her down but to no avail.

Alex actually passed away back in 2005. I released the long lost Motorcycle Boy album back in February and had tried to track Alex down prior to its release but to no avail. I thought the release would bring us back into contact but I still heard nothing. In February Alex’s husband contacted me and informed us of Alex’s death. We were both saddened and shocked by the news.

  • Dame Vera Lynn. East Ham's finest.

103 is a good innings, and she lived to see the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

  • Amazing the impact she had both during and post-war. Sad, but a great life!!

  • It would be nice to see some sort of fly past on the coast near Dover at some point.

  • RIP Dame Vera Lynn, what a truly wonderful person.. lived just around the corner ftom my new home. We will leave flowers at Ladysmith Ave this week.

  • You're in East Ham as well? Where abouts?

  • High street south side just past Central Park. Whereabouts are you @tbc

  • Ian Holm has died, aged 88.

  • Ah, sad to hear. So many good things he was in, a fair number of hokey things improved by his presence. Probably a significant age divider between those who primarily think of him as Bilbo Baggins and those who think of all the other stuff and then "Oh, and Bilbo".

  • sad times.
I just referred to him as "the psycho robot in Alien"

  • Great roles also in 'Brazil' & 'Fifth Element'.

  • Carlos Ruiz Zafón, RIP

  • High Street North next to Plashet Park!

  • Joel Schumacher - time to dig out Lost Boys.

  • Jockey liam treadwell aged 34

  • @Yankee_Shit_Bag 🖤

I received a message from his family today to let us know that Michael passed away this week.

YSB was only in London for a short while but he was a positive ray of happiness and energy on many rides while he lived here. And although he didn’t drink he turned up to East Beers more often than any other regulars at the time too!

RIP Shitbag, you will be missed more than you realise.

  • Very sad news, I met him a few times at compass drinks and Herne Hill... Lovely, funny guy... Condolences to those of you who knew him well, l know he was very tight with a lot of you northies... Very sad, been thinking about it all day...
