I think the cassette I’ve removed is 12-30t Ultegra 6700.

Compatibility maps are at https://productinfo.shimano.com/#/archive

For the 7800/7801 hubs, only 7800, 6600(11/12T top only) and 5600 cassettes will work

Ideal. This is what I was after.

I think I have a 5600 cassette here with a 6700 lock ring then.
