Perfect ride, actually got to see the sunrise too.
2:43 moving time, no mechanicals, did have to wait occasionally.
Came back via the ferry and Rainham Marshes.
Top stuff.

That sunrise was euphoric. So much gratitude to John and everyone for making it what it was.

So keen to copy your lead as I said, the Tilbury ferry wording looks very anti-exercise, is it what you used and were they fine in the end?

The two guys on the boat were totally cool. Had a good chat, no problems. Told them where we came from and were headed and they just said "well done".
We caught the 07:10 sailing.
Maybe they just dislike roadies.

They were fine at the ferry, just had to have a face covering - were fine with all the bikes too!
that strict covid warning on their site looks to be from early lockdown, it was chill. -

Sick thanks, this spot also near the Grain Fort ? Wondering if ya bothered climbing the battery or were caught by the tides

The tide was plenty out but the walk would have caked you up to the shins.

Bit late, but did this last Thursday and it was absolutely banging - incredible on the way out especially, thanks for the route and the tips and would recommend anyone else to do this on a warm night - didn't want to spam to many pics but the route back during the day is equally lush
