Well the reason I recommended Schroth harnesses is because they tend to work best with HANS devices, which would also help stop the driver getting a Glasgow kiss from the steering wheel. But then a HANS device is utterly pointless without a helmet, which might be considered overkill for the airport run.
I freely admit that it's silly to take the airbag wheel out of a car that comes so equipped, but my view is that it's still safer than rattling around in an MGB.

I hope you're not intimating that MGBs don't go round corners, stop, or have functional headlights? Or that the driver is the crumple zone. Luckily, a standard MGB isn't fast enough to inconvenience a geriatric badger.
