In your CP thread you mentioned that the original 30mm travel fork is broken; did you ever manage to get in to it at all?

@Howard - i didn't, unfortunately. my friend helped with the tools, he made a castle tool as well, but we didn't try opening it up.. (he is doing the budapest-bamako rally and is currently prepping his car, so has no time whatsoever.. i don't really want to bother him as i think he wouldn't even remember where the tools are..)

edited this thread to reflect current status.
i went ahead and fixed the headshok. opened it up, inspected all components. everything is in there, the elastomer is fine, i poured fresh motorex 5w oil in it, bled the cartridge, put it back together.
lockout and damping back online.
i put a new headset bearing on the crown, took the boot off and regreased the needle bearings. it works as it should now.
the price has been modified according to the service and condition of the fork.
the lefty is not for sale.
original forks can be seen in the linked topic (in the first post).

Excellent! Well done.
hello all,
another frame that's taking up space/not being ridden. turned out to be too small (rides like a 53/54cm). if it were my size, i'd be afraid to lock it up..
really nice condition, it has a some bubbling paint (classic cannondale style) on/near the dropouts.
no digs/dents.
as you can see from my current project thread, i built a slate out of it - i'm keeping the lefty. detailed description in the original thread (mostly the last post).
