@R.hobbs any word on if Brompton are going to start selling the front carrier frames again? Thinking about getting a Carradice Stockport, but don't have a spare frame.

evening, no, completely discontinued, I imagine partly to stop other brands getting a leg in..
Got a non brompton branded one coming soon though!

Boo to Brompton, but good to hear about the replacements!

You can use Brompton's Game bag frame with the Stockport bag, which has the same dimensions as the S frame but no protruding handle. I noticed that there is one Game bag frame left at Brilliant Bikes, code QFCFA-G.
I think the Stockport bag is great (mine is a bright Red edition!).

Ooh, ta - will look into that. I've got a Carradice City Folder for when I need to go away overnight/bring the kitchen sink, but I reckoned something a little less chunky might be helpful. I thought about getting a game bag, but lovely though they are, they're not three times as lovely as a Stockport...

I also got the City Folder for weekends away, but the Stockport is great for smaller trips (even though it is heavier...).
With Brompton's Game bag, apart from price, I didn't like the lack of an overlapping lid which appears to provide poor protection in heavy weather.

Was that deliberate?
Putting your new Brompton adjacent to Old Brompton Road? -

Thanks, the picture was helpful. I did go black and tan though! Not because I didn't like the look of yours, I just prefer a bit of colour I think.

Don't mention Black and Tan....bad connotations in Ireland.

Yes, this was taken shortly after I got it, so was an opportunity for an Old Brompton/new Brompton photo.
(NDS fail, I know...)

It's also a drink. Half Guinness half beer. In my first month of University I read that the Beatles drank it in their early days tried to take it up as my drink as part of my newly affected personality but all I got were rolled eyes from barstaff.

V. bad. My maternal great-grandfather was a member. Another ignominious piece of family history. Not the worst though.

Applaud your family honesty but you have something worse in family cupboard?...My grandfather who fought in WW1 and was part of the British occupying force in Germany in 1919; hit a German civilian in the face with his rifle butt. Why? Because he wanted to and no other reason and i am ashamed of that too.

There's a convicted grave robber in mine.

Oh lordy yes. For example, it turns out the trust fund which paid for my rather expensive secondary education was the result of profits made from diamond mining in South Africa during the apartheid era. That's on the paternal side of the family.
Another one straight to the golf club thread I suspect.

If he was caught, I bet he felt a real Berk! :)
No idea either, unless it’s some kind of stay protector. It’s a heavily modded tensioner. The Brompification ones are nice as it looks like it allows the jockey nearest the cog to be repositioned. Pricey though...
