Ive had cheapy ones and they are terrible. We also get through one every 6 months at the office. I figure I have already condemned too may kettles to a 10,000 year landfill decomposition. I cant bring my self to continue doing it. Hence my thought of intergenerational cast iron.
Not had any of the drippy issues with mine and in its defence it 3 years old and not dead yet so probably my best kettle so far.
The actual reason is we're moving house and new house is induction and kettle won't work on it. I think other than the whistling stove top kettles are great and last ages
