  • Stop buying flash kettles - they just give up and die. Get a cheapy basic 3kW plastic kettle and it'll probably see you through. A stovetop hand-burner is probably not the answer!

  • Ive had cheapy ones and they are terrible. We also get through one every 6 months at the office. I figure I have already condemned too may kettles to a 10,000 year landfill decomposition. I cant bring my self to continue doing it. Hence my thought of intergenerational cast iron.

    Not had any of the drippy issues with mine and in its defence it 3 years old and not dead yet so probably my best kettle so far.

  • The actual reason is we're moving house and new house is induction and kettle won't work on it. I think other than the whistling stove top kettles are great and last ages
