Ive had cheapy ones and they are terrible. We also get through one every 6 months at the office. I figure I have already condemned too may kettles to a 10,000 year landfill decomposition. I cant bring my self to continue doing it. Hence my thought of intergenerational cast iron.
Not had any of the drippy issues with mine and in its defence it 3 years old and not dead yet so probably my best kettle so far.
Interesting, I have got sick of replacing electric kettles and decided that when my current smeg dies that I would swap to stove top for the induction.
What makes you want to go the opposite way?
