The seller actually just recently sent it due to covid!
But definitely a Barnacle fork, and probably one of my handlebars, and the standard 1x and some shiny bits :) Im sort of hoarding in preparation for fun builds for friends and any other people who want them.

has anyone ever had a disc tab brazed on to the rear of a steamroller? I've got a disc fork comming but worry my knees will suffer from lack of rear brake. switching to 650b

And re space the frame to 135mm? Or try to find a 120mm disc hub.

Not a steamroller, but I use a long drop bmx brake on a 700c frame with 650b wheels.

I haven't got a braking surface either, it doesn't work very well, but helps if you're going down a steep drop off-road or something.

Has anyone here actually used a 26 inch disc trucker fork on a steamroller with 700c wheels?
Surly says the disc trucker forks will clear 2.1 inch with or without mudguards, the outer diameter of a 2.1" 26 tyre is somewhere between a 20-23mm 700c tyre.
I'm guessing width of the fork blades is the limiting factor. So does anyone know what the actual clearance with a 700 wheel is?
EDIT: never mind, I found a picture on pedalroom with a 33mm tyre in the fork and there was plenty clearance.

I can pop a 700c wheel in a 26 LHT trucker fork this afternoon if it helps

Thanks for the offer! But ye I found the picture on pedalroom. This is with a 33mm tyre, attached for anyone else who might be interested.

I was wondering if anyone here rides a 62cm Steamroller (and if so how tall are you)? I’m 6’6” and have always struggled finding a frame that feels right. I’m looking at one as a commuting bike but also one I can go for decentish rides on. I have long legs and kinda short torso/arms in comparison. I’d like a fairly up right position.
Appreciate any help/advice. If there’s any other frames people can recommend also, I’m all ears. -

I think I'll do just that, thanks

I am not a bike fitter but this sounds like a 62cm frame is gonna be hella long for you. Worth checking the geometry chart though as I don’t actually know how long it is.

Will soon be answering the age old question of whether an unbraced disc mount on a steamy fork = fiery death or not.

Did you just choose not to put a brace on? I'm sure I remember seeing you added a brace to another fork when you added disc tabs but maybe my memory is failing me.
Be my guest, I'm jamespaton72 on the gram, I follow you and love that fork, reckon you'll start production?
